It might seem overwhelming but you’ll be amazed at how these little ones memorize so easily and will retain it for a lifetime. It still warms our hearts when we hear older students reciting these verses from their garten year! We practice in class every single day, but please practice at home as well or in the car, at the dinner table, etc. Your whole family may have it memorized by the end of the school year!) Psalm 139:1-18 " 1. O Lord, You have searched me and You know me. 2. You know when I sit and when I rise; You perceive my thoughts from afar . 3. You discern my going out and my lying down. Chapel leaders: Social Studies garten graduation practice Science Graduation practice Phonics, Handwriting, and Reading Phonics: We use ABeka Phonics curriculum. We will start by reviewing short vowels first and then all consonants. We are beginning to blend the consonants with each short vowel letter. Reading: We will practice Phonics and decoding skills one-on-one and in small groups. We will utilize our skills-based groups to meet individual needs. We urge you to read to your child every day for at least 10 minutes . This increases their vocabulary, spelling, and conversational skills, but most importantly encourages a love of reading. We are working on memorizing our garten list of sight words. This is our schedule of words we are learning so you can practice at home.
